My name is Morgan DeClercque and I live in the United States. My Great Grandfather, Alfonso DeClercque brought his family to this country about 1897. They came from Staden, West Flansers. His Father, Louis Leonard DeClercque lived in Hooglede, just down the road from Staden. That’s about all I know. The family originated somewhere in France. If anyone else can give me advice on where to go, I would appreciate it. I heard the original spelling was de Clercque.
